Adoption Process

Initial Phone Call and Puppy Application

To start the adoption process, we ask that you fill out our adoption application or talk to us over the phone. This allows us to make sure our puppies are a good fit for your family and get to know you before you commit to a puppy.

Puppy Availability and Reservation

Our puppies become available for reservation at two weeks old, after their first health exam. Once you’ve chosen a puppy, we will require a deposit agreement and deposit fee of $500 to secure your puppy. The remaining balance of $1,500 is due at pick-up. Our Great Pyrenees puppies are currently $2,000.

Updates

Pictures will be updated regularly on the website but additional videos and pictures are available upon request. We can always FaceTime or send videos and photos if needed!

Puppy Visits

We allow visits on a case by case basis. Please complete our Adoption Application and contact us if you would like to come see the puppies.

Deposit and Contracts

Once you have chosen your puppy and sent the deposit agreement and payment, we will mark your selected puppy as “Reserved” on our website. This lets others know that a specific puppy is no longer available. Puppies marked as “Pending” have a been chosen by a family verbally but we have not received a deposit yet.

Pick-up

Our Great Pyrenees puppies are ready to go home at 8 weeks of age. We typically select one day for puppy pick-up but the day and time is flexible and we can arrange pick-up however works best for you. Please let us know in advance if you are unable to pick-up your puppy on our selected day.

During this visit you will get to meet the parents of your puppy and our other Pyrenees, and see where they grow-up! We will also answer any questions you have to best prepare you to bring your new baby home.

Boarding and Training

If you are not ready to bring a puppy home at eight weeks old, or you would like to have your puppy come home with basic training completed, we do offer boarding and Board & Train options for all Windy Pines puppies.

Waitlist

We currently have a waitlist for our Great Pyrenees puppies. If we do not have any puppies available or, if you are interested in adopting a puppy from a future litter, please fill out the adoption application and we will contact you with information on how to join the waitlist as soon as possible!
